Six weeks ago, I began a journey that was entirely new to me. I was unsure how it would go, who would join me, and if it would even be worth it. Six weeks in, and I am amazed at the work that God is doing.
When I wrote The Divine Plotline, I was simply being obedient to document all that God had taught and changed in my own heart. I never expected it to be so impactful for so many other women. Then, when a friend suggested I do an online class that walked through the book, I shrugged the idea off as a “That’s a cool idea! Maybe someday!”
As more and more friends and mentors suggested the same idea, I felt a tug on my heart that I had become all too familiar with. Holy Spirit was calling me into something new and very uncomfortable for me: leading an online community for women to process through the truths God taught me through The Divine Plotline.
I began by putting some “feelers” out to see if there was even a need for such an experience. The crickets I secretly hoped to hear did not voice their opposition. Instead, I was met with several women whose hearts cried out for the very community God was calling me to start.
“Ok, Lord. This freaks me out! Put me in front of 1,500 teenagers, and I’d be fine! But a dozen adult women? I desperately need your help!” was the prayer that I found myself praying over and over.

Stepping Out In Faith
I published the workbook. I announced the Live Experience. The days grew closer! Anxiety swelled. “What if I fail? What if I’m not good enough? What if these women don’t come back after just week one or two?!” Fear tried to cripple me. Accusations tried to stop me. Shame tried to stifle me. Through it all, Holy Spirit kept pulling my heart in this direction.
“This is what I need you to do in this season,” was the response I continued hearing—over and over again.
“Ok, God, but this is going to have to be a serious work on Your part! Because I’m freaking out!”
Then, launch day. Two sessions. Fourteen women. Three books: The Bible, The Divine Plotline, and the workbook. We were off!
And the response since then has been truly humbling and exciting. I have been amazed and grateful for the beautiful work that God has done so far—just six weeks in! Five more weeks to go, and we haven’t even hit my favorite chapter yet!
Even though God started me on learning the truths written in The Divine Plotline in February, 2025, He has been absolutely wrecking my heart in fresh ways concerning its content, and I am humbled and honored to share those with you here.

1. Forgiveness is an ever-evolving key to fruitfulness.
Just when I think I’ve been obedient and faithful to offer forgiveness towards the people who have hurt me the most (I think of my ex-husband and his fiancée specifically), God smacks me in the spiritual face and confronts me with my lingering bitterness towards them.
“But, God, I’ve already forgiven them!” my heart whined. Yet, God in His infinite wisdom, seeing all the hidden places of my heart, placed His divine finger right on that area of my heart with a resounding, “Let’s walk through this again.”
As I walked through several of the prompts in the TDP workbook, I realized how I had allowed bitterness to take root in my heart towards them once more. Despite my complaints to the Lord about how I feel like they had so wronged me, I kept coming back to this same conviction: It’s time to forgive them again.
Here’s how my understanding of forgiveness has evolved even in these last six weeks: it’s ever-evolving. The way we forgive at one point is going to look different than the 352nd time you had to forgive that person. Sometimes, forgiveness may come easily. Other times, forgiveness feels like it’s ripping a whole right out of your heart. Even when you feel like you’re through the forgiveness journey, something raises its ugly head again and reminds you that it’s time—once again—to surrender your pain and bitterness to the feet of Jesus.
Forgiveness isn’t a simple “Lord, I forgive them!” prayer. It’s praying just as Jesus did for those who murdered Him while He hung on the cross: “Lord, I need YOU to forgive them. Forgive them, because they really don’t know what they’re doing. They need You desperately, just like I do! I surrender their actions, my pain, and my emotions surrounding it at Your feet, Mighty God.”
And this act of forgiveness sometimes has to take place in your heart again and again. It’s a journey—and ever-evolving journey—towards greater surrender and dependence upon God, even when people hurt you deeply.

2. Praying for those who have hurt you can help heal your own heart.
Continuing the forgiveness topic! So lovely, I know. And always easier said than done.
Just six weeks into the LIVE Experience, I found myself repeatedly coming back to prompts in the workbook that called me to pray blessings over the ones who have wounded me most.
Pray for them? Pray blessings over them?! No, God. I’ll forgive them! I don’t want to pray blessings over them!
And then the book of Job hit me like a ton of bricks. Job had lost everything in a sudden and tragic turn of events. Job and his “friends” then spent thirty-four chapters asking the question, “Why, God?” of Job’s circumstances. In those chapters, three friends and a young man harshly accuse Job of heinous, secret acts towards God. In the end, God meets with and speaks directly with Job in a powerful way.
BUT! Before God ever restores Job’s health, family, resources, status, or relationships, we see a hidden truth tucked away in Job 42:8, when He said, “My servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.” The very last thing God did before restoring Job? God called Job to stand between God and the friends as their intercessor. God wanted Job to bless them. Oof.
So, God asked this of me as well. More than once! Even as I type these words, my internal mind hangs its head in shame at how badly I did not want to pray blessings over these two people who seem hell-bent on maligning me. “Forgive them. Then pray that I not deal with them according to their folly.” I felt called to pray and bless in the same way God called Job to pray for his three friends.
Forgiveness was one thing, but this?!? Yes. This. Ooooookay, God.
Here’s where forgiveness really becomes authentic. It’s one thing to speak forgiveness with the mouth, but to pray sincere blessings from your heart? That’s the fruit of true forgiveness. So, over these last six weeks, I have been coming face-to-face with this truth.

3. When you preach a truth, you’ll be tested by that very truth.
Wow, has this one hit me so hard! Nothing like getting run through the wringer when you start teaching more and more about “God’s goodness and sovereignty over the hard seasons of life”; messages start making their rounds back into your life. This has been my life.
And I have not-surprisingly failed. Many times. I’ve found myself slipping into self-pity and “This isn’t fair!” I’ve felt the squeeze of the Potter’s hands on my own heart as He has worked through areas that still rebel against the truths He revealed to me in The Divine Plotline.
There’s a twofold spiritual accountability that takes place when you start stepping into your calling and speaking the often-rejected truths of God’s Word: God asks, “Are there areas in your own heart that still haven’t submitted to me in this?” and Satan taunts, “Oh yeah? Let’s see how much you really believe that.”
As I was sharing with the group about the hardships I was weighed down with last week, one gal reminded me that (and I’m paraphrasing, because I don’t remember her exact words), regardless of the source of the sudden difficulty, it’s our job to respond with open hands to the Father and say, “Lord, use this.” CONVICTION SMACK DOWN! Yes. It’s the backbone of my book (and the very subject of a whole chapter in my book), and I had forgotten! I had allowed the frustrations of the week to weigh me down and lose sight of the God who can use every painful moment, word, or season for my good.
I have been tested by the very truths I’ve written about and taught on over the last few weeks. I have failed in walking them out perfectly! But I’ve grown more and more grateful these last six weeks that God has exposed these issues to me quickly and gently.
I’m learning! Sometimes slowly. Other times, quickly. But I’m learning nonetheless.

Six Weeks for Greater Grace and Revelation
Just six weeks, and God has brought about tremendous revelation to me in a subject area I have already studied in depth! As these weeks have come and gone, and the remaining five weeks of the class approach, I am beginning to feel that the message of The Divine Plotline will forever be written on my heart as an area of passion and continued growth in my relationship with the Lord. I’m coming to the place where I’m ok with that. I don’t want these truths to be “one and done” in my heart and life. If God needs to and wants to bring me back continually to these truths, then let it be. Not my will be done, but your will be done, Lord!
Testimonies from Participants
This book has truly changed my life and is continuing to do so every day. Because of the tremendously positive feedback I have received from the amazing women who have joined me on the journey through The Divine Plotline Live Experience, I invited those who felt comfortable to share a little bit of their testimonies of what God has done in their hearts in the last six weeks as well. I hope you enjoy getting just a taste of what we are all experiencing by reading these powerful testimonies! Remember, these are after just the first six weeks of this experience.
So, grab some tissues and enjoy these brave women’s testimonies:

God has completely shaped and molded my perspective of what it means to walk with Him. When my son was 18 months, we vaccinated him (he was ahead on all of his milestones before. After that came toe walking and vocal stim. Flash forward: he is now 4 and still doesn’t really speak. For a while, I was in my own pity party. Angry at the doctors, feeling there was no justice as to what was done to him, and feeling abandoned by God for letting this happen. Countless nights crying, “How could you allow this to happen, Lord”
Your book has completely redirected every emotion regarding this situation. Your workbook forced me to ask questions of where my heart has been hardened. Your live experience has truly opened my eyes. It forced me to look deeper into my heart and ask God to show me any stones that have been taking up room in my heart. This live experience has given me hope, comfort, and a new perspective of just how good our Father is. Truly life-changing.

God sent Chelsea to me exactly when I needed her the most. I had recently started to finally grow my relationship with God and not only read the Bible, but learn it as well. My life had been flipped upside down a few years prior when my now Ex tried to kill me. I had to basically start my life all over again, sell my house, move to a new area, and raise our son alone. I never took time for me because I knew if I did, I would break down and be a hot mess. I was ready for a new start, but I just could not get in the right headspace. I had been ignoring the signs from God to lean on him and was determined to do this alone. Then one day I saw a friend post about Chelsea’s book The Divine Plotline, and it caught my attention, and I pre-ordered right away. Once I received it, I kept putting off reading more of it, and then she announced her workbook and that she was going to have a Zoom study of it. I signed up as soon as I saw the post.
I did not know what to expect, but I was ready, and WOW, this was beyond anything I could have imagined it would be. I felt so safe in our sessions and just ready to pour out my soul. Our group of ladies is who I needed to release all my pain and finally let God in. Chelsea explained things in a manner that made so much sense; no one had ever done that before. It was like she tapped into me and just recharged my whole mindset. I have never felt God more in my life than I do now. I crave to learn more and more about Him every day. I am reading more, I am journaling, and I now know that He has a plan for me, and He has not had me feel all this pain in my life for no reason. I may not like what He has written so far, and I accept that now. But I do know that He is not finished with my story yet, and I will get out of this season one day. Until then, I just thank God for Chelsea and all of the ladies in our group. They do not realize how big of an impact they have had and will continue to have on my life and journey with God.

I was a part of Chelsea’s launch team at the beginning of the year and absolutely fell in love with this book! It marked me by how I encountered God with the truth within the pages and prayer prompts! My faith and view of my hardships are forever changed! Signing up for the live experience was a no-brainer for me! It has been so powerful to walk through the reflection guide and workbook along with other women. Chelsea did an amazing job facilitating the lesson and our conversations. I couldn’t take my notes fast enough for all of the mic-drop quotes and revelations of Scripture that Chelsea taught! I felt so safe, heard, and seen. My faith has been challenged, refined, and shaken in the best ways! I’m so thankful for Chelsea and this experience.

When I applied to be a beta reader for The Divine Plotline, I had no idea what type of plot twist was coming my way in my personal life. But God did. He knew I would be encouraged by Chelsea’s vulnerability and wisdom in her book. As I navigate this new chapter in my life, God is using His stories, broken down by Chelsea, to help guide me along. That’s the cool thing about recognizing God as the Author of my life. He always knows how my story will turn out despite all the twists and turns in my own plotline. The Divine Plotline has helped remind me of how great my Author is.
